Bariatric Surgery Facts
For patients suffering from morbid obesity, bariatric surgery
is an established and widely accepted method for achieving long-term weight loss.
We perform a variety of specialized weight-loss
surgeries using minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques. Lap-Band®,
Roux
en Y, Gastric Bypass, the Duodenal
Switch, and the Vertical
Gastrectomy are procedures we feel are the most successful and effective.

Conditions required for Bariatric Surgery
Because bariatric surgeries are complex, we adhere to the NIH guidelines and limit these procedures to patients suffering from morbid obesity (patients whose Body Mass Index exceeds 40 or 35-39 with significant obesity related medical problems).
To determine if bariatric surgery is right for you, you must first determine your level of obesity using our BMI Calculator.
