Obesityhelp.com (obesityhelp.com): Good resource for patients to learn more about obesity surgery.  This is also an excellent site for preparation for insurance authorization. There are documents for your psychologist and nutritionist, etc.

Obesitysurgerybook.com (obesitysurgerybook.com): You can purchase the book from this website, it is very useful as it is comprehensive and unbiased. Details about the procedures are reasonable, and we will answer additional questions for you. It is oriented towards patients interested in the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass. 

ASBS (asbs.org): The American Society of Bariatric Surgery website (Organization of Bariatric Surgeons).

Obesity.org (obesity.org): Official site of the American Obesity Association. Also, there are specific IRS tax deduction benefits (obesity.org/subs/tax/taxbreak.shtml) described on their website.

CPMC (cpmc.org): California Pacific Medical Center Hospital website. Find directions, hotels, and specifics about the hospital.

NIH Medical Guidelines (rover.nhlbi.nih.gov/guidelines/index.htm): The National Institute of Health clinical guidelines on various medical problems including obesity.  Very detailed and comprehensive with an electronic textbook.  Aimed at health professionals.

US Department of Agriculture (nal.usda.gov/fnic/): Provides patients with a wealth of nutritional information and resources about the value of foods. This site has a downloadable PDA database, which can serve as a great resource to patients following surgery.

R-Kane (RKane.com): Leading supplier of well-liked, good-tasting protein soups and drinks for bariatric surgery patients. We offer many of their products in our office for your convenience.
